Like quite a few here, I did not know Ibukun but was drawn to this page from Punch Newspaper of today (13th May 2008).

I saw the picture of a beautiful vibrant young lady and could not believe that she could be dead yet death is a debt which we all must pay.

I do not understand the mind of God and why he would take her away and leave her loved ones in pain, yet I understand that ALL power belongs to the Creator and since He made her without anyone's permission, He chose to take her without anyone's permission.

One thing I have learnt today, through Ibukun who I never knew is that death can come at any time.

May Almighty God grant her soul perfect rest and may He comfort her family and friends in Jesus' name. Amen

I can see that Ibukun was really a blessing from God.  She fulfilled her life's purpose - even though it was short.

It exactly a year now u left this world to eternity, Huh! though av not met or seen u before, i can't but leave these few words for u, U"RE LOVED even after death. MAY UR SOUL CONTINUE TO REST IN THE BOSSOM OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.

As for the parent and the family, be strong and be of good courage, though she stayed for a little time but i guess she lived a fulfilled life.

I didnt know you when you were alive,didnt know what it was that took you away from this planet,but i do know that you were a lovely and special person loved and adored by everyone when with us.

 

And the question that will keep disturbing my mind is why death laid its cold arms on such an Angel like you and that question might never be answered till we join you someday never to depart no more.

I do not know Ibukun from Adam. I saw the Obituary in today's Punch Newspaper and decided to check the memorial website. I read through the memories and my heart became very, very heavy and sad. I was happy however, reading through one of the writings that she was born-again. My heart goes out to her parents, siblings and numerous friends. I pray the Lord will comfort you all. May her gentle soul rest in peace. It is well!
